Zapraszamy wszystkich miłośników gwizdków (i nie tylko) chętnych do wzięcia udziału w konkursie, który rozstrzygniemy w czasie trwania Jarmarku Gwizdalańskiego w Gwiazdałach w dniu 17 maja 2025 roku. Zgłoszenia uczestników przyjmowane będą do 30 kwietnia 2025.
Wydarzenie dofinansowano ze środków Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego w ramach programu kulturalnego polskiej prezydencji w Radzie Unii Europejskiej 2025 w ramach programu dotacyjnego SYNERGIE.

1st International Aerophone Playing Competition
Gwizdały, May 17, 2025 | Whistle Museum
We invite you to take part in the 1st International Aerophone Playing Competition, held as part of a unique cultural event – the Gwizdał Fair. The competition is organized by the Cultural Center of Węgrów County and continues the long-standing tradition of the Ligawka Playing Competition, which has been held for over 22 years during the “Melodies of God’s Trumpets” Festival.
Purpose of the Event
The main goal of the competition is to preserve and promote the tradition of playing pastoral wind instruments, such as:
- ligawkas
- bazunas
- trąbitas
- whistles
- reed pipes
- flutes
This is a unique opportunity to showcase and revive the musical heritage of Mazovia, Podlasie, and other regions of Europe, while inspiring new generations to explore and appreciate these extraordinary instruments.

The competition will be held alongside the vibrant Gwizdał Fair, featuring a variety of cultural attractions, including:
🎶 Folk music performances by ensembles from Poland and abroad
🖐️ Demonstrations of traditional crafts
🏺 Live ceramic firing in a traditional kiln
🎨 Open-air ceramic and sculpture workshop
Remote Participation
Participants from outside the region and abroad are welcome to join the competition remotely via live video connection.
